The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills have provided must see entertainment over the past four seasons for the NFL and its large fan base. Both teams have come through again for the league as the scheduled marquee matchup for week 11 of the season will indeed be must see TV.
CBS will be showing this must see game to nearly 90% of the country and bring its number one announcing crew to the game in Jim Nantz and Tony Romo. CBS had contacted the NFL leading up to this week’s big game about not flexing the game to another network or time slot. Two first place teams set to position themselves for a long playoff run has everyone making plans to watch this game.
The Chiefs visit Buffalo riding a 14 game winning streak and owners of a perfect 9-0 record so far this season. The Bills are in first place of the AFC East Division and owners of an 8-2 mark. Not only are the records close for the two teams some stats are pretty close too. Starting at the QB position Chiefs Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 2,208 yards so far and Bills Josh Allen just a bit more at 2,281.
The Kansas City Chiefs opened the 2003 season at 9-0, the Chiefs also opened the 2013 season at 9-0 and have managed to pull it off again here in 2024. In both 2003 and 2013 the Chiefs lost their 10th game. Will history repeat itself this season again this week when the Chiefs venture northeast to play the AFC leading Buffalo Bills?
Not only do the Chiefs seem to have an issue with the 10th game of the season but also coming away with a regular season win against the Bills. Everyone remembers the last time these two teams played in Buffalo as it was the AFC Divisional round where the Chiefs won 27-24 en route to another Super Bowl. During the regular season the Chiefs lost to the Bills in KC 20-17. In 2022 the Chiefs lost to the Bills 24-20 and in 2021 the score was 38-20 Bills.
The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the last NFL team to record an undefeated season. The Chiefs main goal this season is a three-peat, not a perfect regular season. Expect an entertaining game with a controversial flag or a big offensive play near the end to decide the outcome in this one. Chiefs will come home with another regular season loss to the Bills. That’s What I REID Into It for this week.
