No one likes to find a trap and no sports team enjoys getting stuck in a trap game but that’s the case this week for the Kansas City Chiefs as they venture to Ohio to play the Cleveland Browns. The Chiefs enter at 12-1 and in first place of the AFC West Division. The Browns come in at 3-10 and last place of the AFC North Division.

The Chiefs are coming off from an exciting 19-17 win over a division rival and next week host the playoff bound Houston Texans. No such excitement this week with the trip to play the Browns who have struggled mightily this season. CBS will have regional coverage of the game which has a noon kickoff time. The Chiefs look to continue their run of success against the Browns having won six straight in the series.

Both teams got to work on Wednesday this week to prepare for this AFC encounter. The biggest subject was the injury report as each team is trying to overcome the injury bug of a number of players. The host Browns may get WR Cedric Tillman back but may lose the services of TE David Njoku for this game. One name that will be mentioned a lot on game day is RB Kareem Hunt who is a Cleveland area native and played for the Browns prior to coming to Kansas City.

The Chiefs injury report concerns for newly acquired OL DJ Humphries along with Jawaan Taylor. Good news is PK Harrison Butker could return to the lineup as soon as next week. The QB matchup is one to watch as the Chiefs Patrick Mahomes goes up against the Browns QB Jameis Winston. The Browns are hoping to get WR Jerry Juedy over 1,000 yards on the season in the game, a game they call “Their Super Bowl.”

The Chiefs have Super Bowl aspirations and to get there must take care of opponents that are seven games below .500. This road trip may not carry the importance of what lies ahead for the Chiefs but expect their veteran line up to do what’s necessary to overcome any surprises the Browns may try to spring on them. Chiefs come home with a 13th victory on the season. That’s What I REID Into It for this week.
