Fresh off a home win over a division rival it’s back out on the road for the Kansas City Chiefs who now seek their second win in Miami in the year 2020. This week the Chiefs return to the site of Super Bowl 54 where on Feb. 2 the Chiefs won Super Bowl 54. While Hard Rock Stadium has given the Chiefs many fond memories that will last a lifetime the team knows this is not the time to relive Super Bowl celebrations but beat a talented Miami Dolphins team.

The Chiefs are in the midst of playing four road games in five weeks but all this traveling has not affected the team’s ability to find success. The Chiefs, at 11-1, have won nine consecutive road games including all six so far this season. A win on the road this week will give the Chiefs their fifth consecutive AFC West title. With so much on the line for both teams playing in this game CBS will send their top announcing crew of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo to South Florida to cover it.

The Dolphins have been a surprising success story in the NFL this year. While the Buffalo Bills got a lot of publicity as the favorite in the AFC East Division it’s the Dolphins who are getting more written about them now. Coming into Sunday’s game the Dolphins 8-4 record finds them just a game back of the Bills in the division with four games left to play. If the season ended today the Head Coach Brian Flores would have the Dolphins in the AFC playoffs.

All this success for the Dolphins has been due to an efficient offense led by rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa and a strong defense led by former Chiefs DE Emmanuel Ogbah. Following a 2-2 start to the year the Dolphins moved Tua into the starting QB Role and he then led them to four straight wins. Helping out on the other side of the ball is Ogbah who spent one season with the Chiefs coming in 2019.

A Chiefs and Dolphins match up will be an entertaining one this year which is good as the two teams do not play each other very often. The Chiefs lead the series history 14-13 and under Coach Andy Reid the Chiefs are 2-0 vs Miami. The last time the two teams met the Chiefs won the game played at Arrowhead during the 2017 season.

Viewers can expect a few highlights of Super Bowl 54 to be shown during Sunday’s game which will delight Chiefs fans. When the cameras show live game day action Chiefs fans will see a much different scene due to limited attendance at Dolphins home games this season. The Dolphins are playing well and one can expect a few good plays by the home team that is improving each week. The Chiefs enjoy playing on the road and will continue their success by making a few more good plays to earn a hard fought win. That’s What I REID Into It for this week.
