“This expansion supports our ability to grow our business and maintain our position as the world leader in animal health,” said Nick Ashton, Executive Vice President and President, Global Manufacturing and Supply. “Zoetis is proud to have been part of the Lee’s Summit community for more than 50 years and we’re grateful to our colleagues who make it possible for us to deliver for our customers and the animals in their care each day.”

With new equipment, larger capacity, and state-of-the-art technology, this new facility will serve clinic and distributor partners and be a hub for other distribution centers, sending shipments out to other sites to support major product lines such as Simparica Trio®, Apoquel®, Librela®, Solensia®, and Vanguard®. More than 50 employees currently work at the distribution center, with the potential for new job creation in the years to come.

Zoetis’ history in Lee’s Summit dates back to 1972 when Pfizer opened a manufacturing site with warehousing and distribution capabilities. In 2013, Pfizer announced its animal health business would become a standalone company called Zoetis, now the world leader in pharmaceuticals for livestock and companion animals.

As the world’s leading animal health company, Zoetis is driven by a singular purpose: to nurture our world and humankind by advancing care for animals. After innovating ways to predict, prevent, detect, and treat animal illness for more than 70 years, Zoetis continues to stand by those raising and caring for animals worldwide – from veterinarians and pet owners to livestock farmers and ranchers. The company’s leading portfolio and pipeline of medicines, vaccines, diagnostics and technologies make a difference in over 100 countries. A Fortune 500 company, Zoetis generated revenue of $8.5 billion in 2023 with approximately 14,100 employees. For more information, visit www.zoetis.com.
