Dear Editor,

In the April 3rd Lee’s Summit R-7 School Board Election, I will be voting for Ryan Murdock and John Schuler. I was active in last year’s campaign and wish to give my endorsement to these gentlemen.

Ryan and I were colleagues at Raytown South High School for 5 years. His actions and judgment as a teacher were always professional and he always held the best interest of students above other interests. As the parent of a child with special needs, he is also em-pathetic to these students and their parents in our district.

I had the privilege of coaching John’s two daughters in T-ball. John was supportive of his girls and his character reflected in the fact that he was not one of those parents who coached from the stands. We have continued that association as our daughters have grown and carried on their lives.

I know through common colleagues that he was a respected member of the Fort Osage faculty and key building administrator in that district.

I know each of these men to be of high character and I feel that the Lee’s Summit R-7 District will benefit by them serving on our board of education.
