Charlie, 16, is the son of Tom and Terry Licata. Charlie joined Pack 4054 as a Tiger Scout in first grade and went on to earn his Arrow of Light.

He then crossed over to Troop 1054 where homesickness during his first year at Bartle Scout camp came close to ending his scouting days. Thanks to his leaders, he faced the challenge head on and matured during those 10 days. Since that first year, he embraced scouting as never before and there was no holding him back! He achieved Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow and Fire Builder in the tribe of Mic-O-Say. Charlie just completed his first summer as a staff member at Bartle. He really enjoyed Seabase scuba diving and hopes to go on more high adventures with the scouts.

For his Eagle Project, he contacted Alexandra’s House, a perinatal infant hospice house in Kansas City. They were in need of prayer kneelers for their chapel. Charlie built five prayer kneelers with the help of his fellow scouts. He installed them on July 30, 2017.

Charlie is beginning his second year at Lee’s Summit High School. He really enjoys wood shop and metal working classes. Outside of school, he likes playing baseball and golf as well as working on automobiles. He is a member of the Lee’s Summit Chapter 91 EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) where he can often be found flying shotgun to Saturday morning breakfast with the guys.

Charlie is an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. At this time, his career path hasn’t been determined, but his scouting experiences have laid a solid foundation for whatever career Charlie decides to pursue.
