Trai Gallagher, 17, is the son of Nathan and Misty Gallagher. Trai has been a part of Scouts since he was in 6th grade.

His Eagle Scout project was building a floating boardwalk at the Rotary Youth Camp in Lee’s Summit, Mo. Trai gathered donations from various organizations to complete his project. He also organized, led and worked alongside his fellow scouts from Troop 54 who volunteered their time to help with the boardwalk. He completed the project in August of 2017.

Throughout Boy Scouts, Trai has attended numerous campouts, learned lots of life skills and made lifelong friendships along the way. He was fortunate enough to attend two high adventures, the Rocky Mountain in Colorado and the Swamp Base in Louisiana. He was also chosen to attend the Order of the Arrow Prism at the Summit Bechtel in West Virginia.

Trai is a senior at Lee’s Summit West High School. He is also attending Longview Community College through the Innovation Track Program. Trai is also an active member of the youth group at Old Paths Baptist Church.
