Natalie Maruschak joins the Lee’s Summit Tribune as our newest intern. She is currently a senior at Summit Christian Academy.

Maruschak is involved in student council and is the secretary of the National Honor Society, the editor in chief of the yearbook and the president of her school’s spiritual climate group, SPARKS. She plans to attend John Brown University next fall and intends to double major in journalism and history, with a minor in secondary education.

Maruschak is a student intern working with both the Tribune and the Creative Center of America. She conducts interviews and writes articles about events and nonprofit organizations throughout the Lee’s Summit area.

She has been living in the Kansas City area for nearly 10 years and is thrilled to be able to connect with and write about her community this way.
