Jack Soley Williams joined Boy Scouts in May 2012. He advanced to the ranks of Tenderfoot and Second Class in January 2013 and First Class in June. In January of 2014 he earned his Star and then Life in December of that year. Eric earned his Eagle Scout in April 2018. Additionally he earned a Bronze Eagle Palm.

During his time in Scouting, Eric served his Troop as Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Assistant Quartermaster and Den Chief.

He attended summer camp at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation where he began the trail of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say honor camping program as a Foxman in 2014. He was called to join the Tribe the following summer as a Brave and chose the name Spirit of Little Silent Waning Moon. In the summer of 2016 he was elevated to the rank of Warrior.

Additionally, Eric went to the National Jamboree, Colorado White Water High Adventure Base and Boundry Waters High Adventure Base. He earned the 50-Miler Award, World Conservation Award, Arrow of Light and the National Outdoor Award-Camping.

Jack’s Eagle Scout Service Project was to install over 100 lineal feet from a free floating wooden walkway at the Greater Kansas City Rotary Club Youth Camp nature walk in Lee’s Summit. This walkway, located within a natural prairie grass area, allows mobility challenged your and adult campers at the Rotary Camp the opportunity to experience the outdoor environment in a safe manner during their summer camping sessions. A total of 101 service hours were completed as part of this project.
