Start the Quilt Show year off with the 31st Annual Calico-Cutups Quilt Show at the Salvation Army Community Center, 14700 E. Truman Rd. Independence, MO, Friday February 8 and Saturday February 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This local quilt club will present demonstrations of dimensional strip piecing, border finishing, various methods of applique, and multiple uses of hexes (hexagon-based designs). Enter a chance to win our Opportunity Quilt “Under the Stars”. In addition, an Opportunity Basket will be available each day. Be sure to look at the display of charity quilts made by members.

Proceeds from the opportunity quilt and baskets and from the sale of charity quilts each help support local charities, including the Salvation Army. And last, but not least, enjoy the display of beautiful quilts created by our members. Admission and parking are free, including full accessibility to the entire show. The Salvation Army’s concession kitchen will be open.
