**************UPDATED 4/15/2019 @ 10:30 A.M.*************

Detectives have worked tirelessly through the weekend interviewing witnesses from the shooting that occurred on Friday at the skating rink.

As of this morning, 4/15/2019 there have been no arrests in the case. The victim in the shooting is listed in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. The investigation indicates that the shooting was the result of a disturbance between two groups of juveniles that were at the skating rink that night.

The disturbance was ongoing during the evening and culminated with the shooting in the parking lot.  Investigators need the public’s help in coming forward with additional information; several witnesses fled the area prior to police arrival and we have not been able to speak with them.

Detectives also believe that there is additional cell phone video from that evening that has not been shared with law enforcement.  If you have additional information that will assist us in bringing this case to a conclusion, you can contact the LSPD TIPS hotline at 816-969-1752.
