Blue Ridge Bank and Trust Co. is pleased to announce the promotion of Elsa Skinner to assistant vice president and branch manager. She has been with Blue Ridge Bank since 2003 and most recently served as the assistant branch manager at the Raytown location.

Elsa will manage Blue Ridge Bank’s newest branch located at 201 W. Lexington on the historic Independence Square. In her new role, she will be responsible for day-to-day operations, new accounts, customer service, and more. This unique location is partnering with the Independence School District (ISD) on a financial literacy program. The Square branch includes a classroom for students enrolled in the business pathway of the ISD Career Academies Program. Elsa will work with students daily and provide real-world training in a true banking atmosphere.

Elsa grew up and resides in Independence. Her years of experience and interest in the community make her a great fit for this location. The Square branch opened on May 1, 2019.
