The Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation wants you to mark the 23rd Annual Race for the Future running race on your calendars.

The 5K run/walk and Kids Dash is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Oct. 12 at Lee’s Summit West High School.

Registration fees are lowest for those that sign up by July 31. And the first 850 participants receive a commemorative t-shirt.

Proceeds benefit the educational foundation and the Carrie Foresee Memorial Scholarship Fund.
