Code Ninjas Lee’s Summit Grand Opening is Sunday, Aug. 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. located at 314 SW Blue Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063-3965.
As interest and demand for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields grow, a new business is coming to the area to provide children with the critical skills they’ll need for the jobs of the future. KC will soon house two brand new Code Ninjas, learning centers (Lee’s Summit and Olathe Ks) which teaches children computer coding. The new centers will be open and running several different programs for students.
Back to school is here. They will have day camps this fall, our drop-in program and a brand new after school program. There is also several different free resources and workshops coming soon for parents as well.
They have two locations already open the KC area. Code Ninjas Leawood location has provided over 9800 hours of coding training since opening in February 2018 and Code Ninjas Lenexa has provided over 2,000 hours of training since opening in January 2019.
Code Ninjas KC has participated in many area STEM nights for local elementary and middle schools, sponsored robotics clubs, provided Boy Scouts opportunities to earn robotics merit badges and hosted parent education events.
Lee’s Summit children ages 7-14 can look forward to visiting the new Code Ninjas centers to learn how to code in a fun, non-intimidating way — by playing and building their own video games with peers in a social environment.
In addition to coding, children gain skills in robotics, math, logic, and problem solving. The game-based curriculum and welcoming atmosphere enables kids to have fun, while parents see tangible results. They are very excited to open their first center on the Missouri side.
They have had several parents from the Lee’s Summit area that have been waiting for us to open. “I became involved with this company because of the direct impact and affect it has had on my 13 year old son Elam. It has given him confidence, increased his ability to problem solve, and he now dreams of being involved in video game design! It totally changed his trajectory and future, all thanks to coming to Code Ninjas,” said Nate Giarratano, marketing director for Code Ninjas.
