Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR) is closing all basketball, pickleball and tennis courts effective March 31 until further notice in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

LSPR’s parks, including dog parks, and trails will remain open and available for patrons to exercise and maintain physical and mental well-being during this challenging time. When using these amenities, patrons should observe the social distancing and personal hygiene guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control. These guidelines are posted throughout our parks and facilities. Patrons showing symptoms of COVID-19 should not use the amenities. As a reminder, park water fountains, restrooms and playgrounds are currently closed.

LSPR will continue to provide periodic updates. Check LSPR’s webpage at, the LSPR Facebook page at, or the City of Lee’s Summit’s coronavirus webpage at for updates as we monitor information on the progress of COVID-19.
