As part of its 80th anniversary celebration, United Consumers Credit Union shared $33,300 with its members who financed a vehicle with the credit union or refinanced an auto loan from another lender.
“Our anniversary auto loan promotion was a great way to give back to the communities we serve,” says Jay Neathery, United Consumers Credit Union President. “And the members loved the offer. It also created a lot of engagement for us on social media!”
The special promotion, held from May 15 through Sept. 3, generated 144 vehicle loans totaling more than $3.9 million for United Consumers Credit Union. Members received $80 for every $8,000 in vehicle loans financed with the credit union.
In addition to the vehicle loan promotion, the credit union also created special 80th anniversary offers for home equity lines of credit and credit cards.
United Consumers Credit Union has more than $184.5 million in assets and serves more than 17,500 members. Originally, chartered in 1941 to serve Armco Steel employees, now anyone who lives in Jackson, Buchanan, Cass or Clay counties, or the city of Cameron, Missouri, as well as those who live, work or worship in Johnson County, Kansas, are eligible to join United Consumers Credit Union.
