History was repeated 56 years later as Connie rode in the 1951 Pumper Truck once again during the Emerald Isle Parade, Saturday, March 16, 2013. This time she rode with her son, Fire Specialist with LSFD Greg Bears, driving. She is joined by her grandchildren.

The iconic Pumper Truck was recently brought back to the Lee’s Summit Fire Department by the IAFF 2195 Fire Fighters Association and this is the first of many parades in downtown Lee’s Summit for historical truck that is now at home at Station #1, downtown Lee’s Summit.
