Alayna Wyatt, a student at Lee’s Summit West High School, was recently named a 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards national silver medalist. Close to 3,300 students nationwide earned the national recognition from among nearly 350,000 works of art and writing.

National winners are invited to attend a ceremony at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on June 7. The honorees will also participate in showcase events at Parsons School for Design at the New School and Pratt Institute’s Pratt Manhattan Gallery.
