At about 1:20 P.M., Friday afternoon (October 12, 2018), The Kansas City Bomb and Arson team is currently assisting the Raytown Police after a suspicious package was left in the police department lobby. Employees were evacuated. No damages or injuries have been reported.

The Raytown Police are still investigating the incident and no further details are available. No arrests have been made.

Approximately 2:30 p.m.,  Raytown Police Department announced, “Thanks to Kansas City Bomb and Arson Team the scene has been cleared and employees have been allowed to return to work.”
