The planning commission expects to have a busy session at their next meeting, after all four of their agenda items for their Oct. 11 session were continued. Preliminary development plans for Artisan Point Apartments, Extra Space Lee’s Summit, Woodland Glen and East Lee’s Summit Branch Library will all be considered at their next meeting on Oct. 25.

Hector Soto, planning division manager, noted that the city has seen a lot of public interest in at least two of these applications (Artisan Point and Woodland Glen) and that the committee should be prepared for a full house.

“The agenda is going to be full on October 25,” he said.

This week’s meeting lasted less than 10 minutes. Commissioners Herman Watson, Carla Dial and Jason Norbury were absent.
