By popular demand, “Trip the Light Fantastic” returns to Jackson County on Tuesday, Nov. 20. Bicycle enthusiasts will enjoy a magical 4.5-mile ride up to and through the more than 175 lighted, animated displays that make up Jackson County’s 31th Annual Christmas in the Park. The ride begins at 6 p.m. at the Frank White, Jr., Ballpark Parking Lot located at 3901 SW Longview Park Drive in Lee’s Summit.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Lit/Holiday Decorated Bike and Best Holiday Dressed Individual before the ride gets underway.

At the finish line, cyclists will enjoy complimentary coffee and hot chocolate at Gusto Coffee Bistro, carols with Camille and the Carolers, and photos with Santa compliments of the Bicycle Shack.
“Trip the Light Fantastic” is free to those who register by Sunday, Nov. 18. Cyclists can pre-register online at www.makeyourdayhere.com/lightfantastic or in person at the packet pick-up event on Sunday, November 18. It’ll be from 2-4 p.m. at Gusto Coffee Shop, located at 3390 SW Fascination Drive in Lee’s Summit.

T-Shirts will also be sold for $15 at Gusto Coffee Bistro on November 18 and at the ride finish line, while supplies last. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Salvation Army.
