The Marshall-Rice Organization, McDonald’s owner/operator from Sedalia, Missouri was recently awarded the prestigious “Ronald Award” for 2018. The Ronald Award recognizes franchise owner/operators that have made outstanding contributions to McDonald’s, their local community and customers. The family establishment consists of Chuck Marshall, his daughter Stephani Marshall-Rice and son-in-law, Rusty Rice. They were selected for this prestigious award out of all McDonald’s organizations across Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Minnesota.

Marshall-Rice and Rice are second-generation McDonald’s franchisees who took over the restaurants from their parents, Charlie and Carolyn Marshall last year, growing their footprint to 18 McDonald’s restaurants across Missouri. They employ a “people first” commitment with an emphasis on employee development and training, establishing outstanding hospitality in every restaurant. Their commitment to people is also evident in every community they serve. Their organization’s support of the local schools, police departments, and Ronald McDonald House Charities are just some of the ways they make giving back a priority in their organization. Over the years, they have contributed more than $50,000 dollars to local schools and universities through Mc’Teacher’s Nights.

“It’s truly an honor to be chosen as one of this year’s Ronald Award recipients,” said Chuck Marshall. “People are at the heart of my organization and are what make it thrive, and I’m so proud to see Stephani and Rusty take that initiative to the next level to better serve our community.”

“The Marshall-Rice Organization has quickly risen to be a trusted leader within the Midwest,” said Myra Doria, Vice President, McDonald’s Denver Field Office. “Stephani and Rusty are constantly looking for new and better ways to elevate the McDonald’s experience for our guests. As we continue on our journey to building a better McDonald’s, we are truly grateful for franchisees like them, whose commitment to excellence benefits both guests and his employees.”

The Marshall-Rice family operates 18 McDonald’s locations throughout central Missouri including Lee’s Summit.
