Lucille Lamb, Regent, Prairie Chapter DAR and Rachel Eubank Fossey

On Saturday, January 5, 2019, Lucille Lamb, Regent of Prairie Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution awarded Lee’s Summit resident Rachel Eubank Fossey, the DAR Distinguished Citizen Medal at a ceremony held in her honor. Rachel is a member of the Prairie Chapter, NSDAR.

The medal is awarded to individuals who fulfill the qualities of honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism. On February 22, 2018, Rachel was instrumental in saving the life of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle and ceased breathing. Rachel’s skills in CPR saved this individuals life. Rachel had learned CPR just months earlier at the hospital where she is employed. In the words of Prairie Chapter Regent Lamb, “Rachel is indeed a very responsible, caring and intelligent citizen who is, without a doubt, a deserving candidate for the DAR Distinguished Citizen Medal.
