Lee’s Summit West High School senior Abigail White has been named the 50th annual Missouri Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA) Student Journalist of the Year. This is the first time in LSWHS school history that a student has earned this honor.

Abby is the editor-in-chief of the “Titan Scroll” student news magazine at Lee’s Summit West, advised by Carol Ullery.

Abby will be recognized at the 50th annual MIPA Journalism Day scheduled for Monday, March 25th, in Jesse Hall on the University of Missouri campus. More information about the award is on the MIPA website at mipajournalism.com.
