Toddler Struck by Vehicle in Raytown Parking Lot

At approximately 8:13 PM on Saturday, 02-02-19, officers were called to the El Dorado apartment complex in the 6700 block of Hunter, Raytown, MO where a 1-2 year old boy had been struck by a vehicle in the parking lot.

It appeared that the toddler had exited a vehicle that was occupied by family members and ended up behind a different vehicle that was backing up, in the parking lot, striking the child.

The driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police. The child was conscious, but had serious injuries. He was transported to an area hospital.

Due to the serious nature of the incident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol assumed the crash investigation at the scene.
