About 50 employers will be on hand to meet job-seeking Metropolitan Community College students and members of the public at MCC-Longview’s annual Job Fair.

It will be 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Longview Community Center (formerly known as the Longview Recreation Center) on the MCC-Longview campus, 500 S.W. Longview Road in Lee’s Summit. Admission is free.

MCC-Longview and the Lee’s Summit Chamber have partnered for more than a decade to bring employers from a variety of industries together to promote jobs and opportunities in and around Lee’s Summit.

“It’s an opportunity for job-seekers to get out from behind the computer and make some face-to-face connections,” says Maggie Garcia, career services coordinator at MCC-Longview. “It’s also efficient — you have a room full of recruiters and hiring managers waiting to talk to you.”

Employers taking part in this year’s event include ABF Freight, Balls Food Stores, Cartwright Companies, Central Bank of the Midwest, Cosentino’s Food Stores, Crowd Systems, DST Systems, FedEx, Full Employment Council, Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino, Herzig Engineering, Hotel Phillips, Integrity Homecare, John Knox Village, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Lee’s Summit R-7 Schools, Operation Breakthrough, Quest Diagnostics, Raymore-Peculiar School District, Swope Health Services, Two Men and a Truck, UPS, Walgreens and Worldwide Express.
