On April 2nd, students from PLMS and SLMS attended the University of Central Missouri Middle School Theatre Festival.

Students attended workshops on everything from Improvisational Acting to Greek Theatre to Debate & Public Speaking, toured the Highlander Theatre, and visited classrooms, dressing rooms, costume, prop and wig design rooms, as well as the stage craft construction and paint shop. Students were treated to an exclusive Q&A with the cast and crew of the spring production of “Godspell” and a private showing of the production.

“It was an incredible experience and many students were deeply impacted by the trip. As an educator, few things rival that of seeing a kid being so truly engaged in something they love,” said PLMS teacher Niki Stanley.
