More than 40 breweries will be pouring beer in downtown Lee’s Summit next weekend. The Strother Brewfest will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. 209 SE Main St.

Participating breweries include Lee’s Summit’s own Fringe Beerworks, Grains & Taps, New Axiom and Smoke Brewing Co, in addition to a number of metro and regional brewing companies. Local distilleries Holladay Distilling, Restless Spirits and Union Horse will also be present.

Tickets are available for online purchase for $40. Each ticket includes a tasting cup and unlimited samples for responsible drinkers. VIP tickets are $50 and include access to VIP bathroom facilities and a $5.00 coupon for food vendors.

Hosted by Smoke Brewing Company and The Lee’s Summit Downtown Rotary Club, the inaugural event’s proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations through the Rotary Club.
