The Missouri Chamber of Commerce invites women leaders from across Missouri to attend a first-of-its-kind statewide summit in Columbia Friday, July 12. This business-focused event is perfect for any business woman looking for the opportunity to enhance her leadership skills and network for professional growth.

Missouri Chamber board member Jacqueline Clark, of Lee’s Summit, will lead the event, which promises to unite participants with a rising generation of women leaders, teach how to inspire others, discover strength in networking and unleash your power to lead.

“It’s a true honor to lead the day’s discussions as emcee for the Missouri Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural event,” said Clark. “I commend the Missouri Chamber for initiating it. Having four Missouri cabinet leaders – all women – and Missouri military leaders as well as prominent women in Missouri politics and education together for the day creates an ideal environment for women at all stages of their respective careers to participate. I am looking forward to an exciting day.”

“For women who are interested in learning more about how to serve as leaders in their respective communities, Wendy Doyle’s luncheon keynote should be especially insightful. Wendy is president and CEO of the Women’s Foundation based here in Kansas City, and she has been particularly effective in connecting women to such opportunities. The foundation promotes equity and opportunity for women of all ages, using research, philanthropy and policy solutions to make meaningful change,” Clark added.

Clark’s career has spanned four decades including service in Missouri state government and in the private sector for category leading corporate and legal enterprises. She leads Lafarge Holcim’s government and public affairs program in this region. The company is the leading global building materials and solutions company, and its largest US cement manufacturing plant is in St. Genevieve, Missouri. Clark received the Women’s STEP Award for her achievements in manufacturing last year. She is a long-time community volunteer and is the immediate past vice president of the Lee’s Summit R-VII Board of Education.
