LSR7 Nutrition Services has begun accepting applications for free and reduced-price meals for children that qualify under the income eligibility guidelines. Applications can be filled out online at www.leessummitschoolnutrition.com under the MySchoolApps icon. Paper copies are also available online in English and Spanish and each school location.

Criteria for Free and Reduced-Price Meal Benefits

Household income that is at or below the income eligibility levels

Household receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF); or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

Child’s status as a foster child, homeless, runaway, migrant, or displaced by a declared disaster

Child’s enrollment in Head Start or Even Start

Families need to reapply EVERY year. The 2018-2019 applications will expire on September 20, 2019. If a new application is not on file and approved by this date, families will have to pay for meals until an application is received and approved.
