If you’ve seen signs along N.E. Bristol Drive in Lee’s Summit recently and wondered about them, then wonder no more.

Project Happiness LSMO is a grass roots effort that started in 2016 to combat the negativity from the presidential election. Fun signs line N.E. Bristol Drive twice a year and the biggest campaign launched Monday, Nov. 4. Signs were placed on Sunday afternoon and completed Monday morning.

They are in almost every yard spanning the length of the street, which is one mile and over 120 homes. Signs display different messages on the front and back. They have a “Thankful/fall” theme as well as the other happy signs that lift your spirits.

The signs will stay for two weeks until they are taken down. Neighbors have donated to the sign campaign and with the money raised the organization will help provide Christmas for some of the elderly in the community. This fun project included help from all ages.
