As Lee’s Summit residents put up their holiday lights (or take them down in January) they will most likely find a strand or two of broken lights. Westlake Hardware has partnered with Midwest Recycling Center (MRC) and is offering holiday light recycling as a service to the community. (Westlake is one of only a few businesses in town that still accepts lights for recycling. Residents can also take lights directly to their local recycling centers.)

Westlake Hardware stores in Lee’s Summit are located at 3rd & Ward, 444 S.W. Ward Rd. and 291 Hwy, 103 S. 291 Hwy. Lights can be recycled at any Kansas City-area Westlake Hardware store now until January 12.
