Recently, Fred DeMoro, District 4 Councilmember, filed for re-election to the Lee’s Summit City Council in the April 7, 2020 municipal election.

“I have enjoyed my time on the city council and stand on my achievements in the last three years and look forward to continue representing the residents of District 4 and Lee’s Summit for another four years,” he said. “If re-elected, I will continue to work on the important projects that have been started including the implementation of infrastructure improvements, such as stormwater modifications, exploring and acting upon economic development opportunities that bring competitive and sustainable wages to our citizens, and the comprehensive planning and development of 4,000 acres of recently available land in Lee’s Summit.”

If re-elected, DeMoro reiterated that he will continue to work closely with District 4 homeowners’ associations and community organizations to reach out and include the many concerned citizens of District 4 and mitigate constituent concerns on an individual basis while representing the interests of the entire city.

In addition, DeMoro said, “I have supported and will continue to support our professional public safety, public works and core employees and I look forward to continue to further strengthen retention and recruitment and competitive compensation improvements.”

Fred DeMoro is a 34-year Lee’s Summit resident and has served as a District 4 Councilmember for nearly three years. He is a dedicated community servant and has been an integral part of the city’s progress over the past decade and his experience stands on its own.
