Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation (LSPR) is closing all dog parks along with the sand volleyball courts and skate park at Lea McKeighan Park beginning April 3 until further notice in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

LSPR’s parks, green spaces and trails continue to be available for use. Patrons should observe the social distancing and personal hygiene guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control when using these amenities. Signage containing these guidelines is posted throughout our open parks. As a reminder, patrons showing symptoms of COVID-19 should self-quarantine and should not use these amenities. At this time, all park water fountains, restrooms, playgrounds, basketball, pickleball and tennis courts also remain closed.

Please visit LSPR’s webpage at LSParks.net, the LSPR Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LSParksAndRecreation/, or the City of Lee’s Summit’s coronavirus webpage at https://cityofls.net/coronavirus for updates as we monitor information on the progress of COVID-19.
