“We had one family that contacted us that was down to four fish sticks, with no transportation to get more groceries. Our staff was able to put together groceries from the food pantry for the family and deliver it to them the same say,” said Pat Koontz, Care Pastor.

Pastor Phil Hopper said Abundant Life has been serving the community via the food pantry for the past 12 years and, most recently, opened the new Food Pantry on Jefferson in 2018. “We want to be living proof of loving God to a watching world,” Hopper said. “Abundant Life has been active in the community of Lee’s Summit for 20 years and we will continue to do so especially during these difficult times. Generosity is one of our core values. We want to be the blessing to the community and give away what God has given us.”

Currently, the Abundant Life Food Pantry partners with Harvesters and local grocery stores. The Food Pantry is able to serve anyone in Lee’s Summit and the surrounding area.
