StrongBox Wealth and Summit Grill have teamed up to present Cooking for a Cause with Summit Grill and South of Summit Taqueria & Tequila’s Executive Chef Conrad Barbera on Wednesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. to raise awareness for the Kansas City Regional COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund.
Cooking for a Cause is a live, hands-on virtual cooking experience that invites the community to cook alongside Executive Chef Conrad as he makes one of his favorite dishes and a specialty cocktail from Summit Grill’s menu. Viewers are encouraged to snap a photo of their finished product and use #CookingforaCauseKC on Facebook for a chance to win prizes, including a gift card to the Summit Grill restaurants. Executive Chef Conrad joined the Summit Grill owned restaurant family in January of this year with more than 13 years of experience. Tune in virtually via Zoom webinar as Executive Chef Conrad walks through step-by-step instructions on how to make a Grilled Spring Vegetable Salad with a Poppy Seed Dressing, followed by Herb Marinated Shrimp and Summit Grill’s signature Black & White Margarita.
Together, StrongBox Wealth and Summit Grill have identified the Kansas City Regional COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund as a beneficiary for the virtual event. The fund is a joint effort between Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Kansas City, LISC Greater Kansas City (Local Initiatives Support Corporation), and the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to address critical needs of the Kansas City region’s most vulnerable communities.
