As a resident of the district for nearly 25 years, and children in LSR-7 schools for the last 13 years, with many more to come, I felt compelled to serve and give back to the district.

I have been a public service employee my entire adult life, and for the last several years, I have been placed in an administrative position where I have seen many of the same challenges that the school district now faces. I am confident the experience, knowledge, and professional skills I possess would be a benefit to the governance of the district. I understand the importance of an engaged and involved staff who are intentionally supported and valued by their organization. If those who are asked to fulfill the mission of the district know that they are valued, the achievement of the district’s goals will be more easily attained.

Additionally, as a candidate who has proven leadership experience in a public organization, I believe I am equipped to help LSR7 prepare responsibly for future growth and the challenges it will inevitably bring. We will need to manage future growth and competition for resources and forecast future employee and compensation needs to ensure our teachers and staff can continue the important work of educating our children.

If elected, I intend to take advantage of the unique opportunity the district now has to set a new way forward and to focus on improvement and success for all. I have no conflicts with serving on the board and look forward to the opportunity to do so.
