Hi, I’m Kim Fritchie, and it has been my honor to serve on the Board of Education for the past three years. I’ve called Lee’s Summit my home since 1975 and am a graduate of LSHS. My husband and two daughters are also LSR7 graduates, and two of our five grandchildren attend LS schools.

I retired from the LSR7 District after 30 years of service as both a high school teacher and a middle school assistant principal. Our daughter, Holly Dahn, is currently a music teacher in the District. I have devoted many years to supporting the education of our Lee’s Summit students both inside and outside the classroom.

During my past term on the School Board, I have visited every school in the District talking with students, teachers, and administrators so I can keep up to date on issues impacting our schools. I also support our students through my involvement in the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation, Lee’s Summit CARES, Pro Deo Youth Center, and the Children’s Ministry at our church. My vision for LSR7 is for our District and Community, especially since the COVID crisis, to work together to collaboratively support each one of our children so they achieve to their highest potential and find success in life.

I will work diligently with Dr. Buck and our Board to provide for our students’ well-being and to restore pride and confidence in our schools. I respectfully ask for your vote as you go to the polls on June 2. Thank you.
