Hi, I’m Andrew Felker, and I would be honored to have your support for the open District 2 seat on Lee’s Summit’s City Council.

I grew up in Sikeston, a small town in southeast Missouri. My dad was a physician and my mom taught students with learning disabilities. One of seven kids, I made my way to the University of Missouri, where I studied law. There I met my wife, Sarah, and we were blessed to welcome our three oldest daughters into our family.

In 2011, we made our home in Lee’s Summit, where our now five children are attending LSR-7 schools. I work as an attorney and shareholder in the law firm Chinnery Evans & Nail, P.C. In that role, I have the privilege of having met and helped so many individuals and business owners with their estate planning, business matters and real estate needs. I’ve also engaged in the community, volunteering to serve on the boards for Pro Deo Youth Center, Lee’s Summit CARES, the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, and Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

My experience, as an attorney requires me to think of and plan for the best and worst-case scenarios for my clients. I believe it is that kind of experience that generates forward thinking and attention to detail. It’s what the Council needs as we make decisions and advocate for the citizens of District 2 and the broader needs of Lee’s Summit.

We are in the midst of a challenging worldwide pandemic that has impacted the lives and livelihoods of so many. But for Lee’s Summit, I believe the best is yet to come. I believe that my message and focus on economic growth that is balanced and responsible; public safety kept as a high priority; a growing, talented workforce; and our award-winning quality of life will be the key to keeping Lee’s Summit a place where people want to live and work, raise a family, and grow old.
