Read and Feed: Once again, MCPL is partnering with Harvesters—The Community Food Network to combat childhood hunger. Through its newly established curbside service, three Library branches will offer free “Grab and Go” meals Monday – Friday to those 18 and younger:

Excelsior Springs Branch, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Grandview Branch, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Riverside Branch, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

New “Dial-A-Story” Service: While the Library’s branches remain closed to the public, MCPL has continued to offer storytimes on its Facebook page on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. For families with limited digital access, the Library recently launched Dial-A-Story, a phone-based storytime experience with recordings of MCPL staff members reading children’s books. The new service, which can be accessed at 816-701-6904, will be updated weekly with new recordings.

Listening to these recordings counts toward listeners’ Summer Library Program participation!
