An EF-0 tornado passed through the area Wednesday night. The approximate path of the tornado that began near Blue Springs Lake and ended near Lake Lotawana in the eastern Kansas City metropolitan area.

The path length was just under six miles and most damage was minor for a tornado. The estimated peak wind speed was 85 mph.
