The children of Randy and Mary Ann (Powell) Rhoads happily announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary.
Randy and Mary Ann were married on August 21, 1970 at the Lee’s Summit Christian Church in Lee’s Summit, MO. They have been blessed with three children, Kristin (Sean) Lynch, Kathryn (Matt) Propst, and John Rhoads; and four grandchildren, Skyler Rhoads, Isabelle, Maren, and Dermot Lynch.
Randy is retired from a successful engineering career with Black & Veatch. He also served Lee’s Summit as a City Councilman for 12 years and Mayor for 8 years. Mary Ann is retired from a successful educator career with the Lee’s Summit School District.
Mary Ann has served on numerous local community and church organizations, including the Lee’s Summit Historical Society, PEO, and the Lee’s Summit Symphony.
Randy and Mary Ann both enjoy serving their community through various volunteer organizations, enjoying coffee with friends, golfing, traveling, and attending numerous events for their grandchildren.
A small family event was held to celebrate along with virtual tributes from family/friends and a celebratory parade. Their love has endured through many years of happiness, health, illness, milestones, losses and now a pandemic. They are a true example of unwavering devoted love.
