Lee’s Summit nonprofits are encouraged to apply by the end of this month for health-focused grants that will be awarded in 2021 by the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation.

“New grant requests must be submitted by our October 31, 2020 deadline,” said GLSHF President Mark Hoffman. “Every year the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation awards grants to nonprofits working in Lee’s Summit to promote the overall health of the community.”

GLSHF grants are awarded annually to local charities. Programs may include health and wellness projects in the areas of research, education, public training programs, programs in schools, clinics for indigent care, equipment, and services. Priority will be given to those proposals most consistent with the GLSHF mission and with the widest potential benefit to the local community. Grants will only be made to public charities for projects/proposals designed to impact the greater Lee’s Summit area. Grants will not be made to, or for the benefit of, any individual.

The deadline for application is October 31, 2020. Awards will be announced in February, 2021.

Details to apply can be found at www.healthyleessummit.org. All application materials not attached to the online Grant Application should be submitted to: The Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Box 571, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. GLSHF is dedicated to promoting health and well-being in the Lee’s Summit area, partnering with local organizations who are making a positive impact in the community.
