Interested in starting a new career or advancing in your current job? The University of Central Missouri’s monthly Professional Training and Open House events feature one-on-one sessions with a workforce expert. The next virtual event, scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. Oct. 26, includes the opportunity for individuals to discuss their career goals while also learning about training programs and scholarship availability for qualifying individuals.

Offered in a friendly, convenient Zoom environment, the events are presented on the last Tuesday of each month. For more information and a link to the Zoom session, visit ucmo.edu.

UCM is recognized for its affordable, flexible, accredited workforce programs. Some programs can be completed in as little as six weeks. UCM’s certificate programs also include many courses in high-demand areas such as healthcare, information technology, business, manufacturing and logistics/warehouse.

Thanks to a partnership with the Full Employment Council, qualifying individuals are able to receive debt-free scholarships. Additional debt-free scholarship opportunities are available to qualifying individuals through a community initiative through Truman Heartland Community Foundation.
