3rd Street Improvements Project
The City of Lee’s Summit, with the assistance of WSP USA, is designing infrastructure improvements for the 3rd Street Corridor from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street, a project that was approved by voters with the passage of the 2017 sales tax initiative.

The public can view conceptual plans and offer input at the public meeting from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23 in the council chamber inside City Hall located at 220 S.E. Green Street in Lee’s Summit.

Right Of Way Encroachments
City staff will answer questions about the revised Right of Way Ordinance (Section 26-2) and Encroachment Policy on Monday, Feb. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Strother Conference Room inside City Hall.

The policy allows property owners to enter into a license agreement and obtain appropriate insurance to place furnishings in the right of way. The terms and license agreements in the Encroachment Policy can be found in the design section of the Department of Developmental Services page on the city’s website at cityofls.net, along with illustrations of the zones and ADA compatible furnishings
