Lee’s Summit CARES will sponsor Bullying, a free Community Conversation. This Community Conversation is the first in a series sponsored by Lee’s Summit CARES. These will be presented monthly. The goal for Community Conversations is to provide information and resources around a topic affecting our community.

The first Community Conversation will be held Tuesday, Sep. 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mid-Continent Public Library located at 1000 NE Colbern Road in Lee’s Summit.

The topic for the Community Conversation is Bullying.

The presenters are Dr. Ram Chettiar, Steve Cohen Ed.D., and Larry Altman, JD.

Chettiar’s a child and adolescent Psychiatrist at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Chettiar will speak about Bullying awareness and its impacts.

Steve Cohen, Ed.D. is a certified Alternative Dispute Resolution mediator. Cohen will speak about the ultimate parent’s guide to protecting your child from Bullying. Cohen is Coauthor of the book “Bullying Navigator.”

Larry Altman is a Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution mediator. Altman will speak about the assistance and resources available to parents. Altman is Coauthor of the book “Bullying Navigator.”
