At the Lee’s Summit City Council meeting on October 11 Mayor Bill Baird issued a proclamation declaring the week of October 9 Fire Prevention Week.

The purpose of the week is to urge Lee’s Summit residents to plan and practice a home fire escape plan and to support the many public safety activities and efforts of the Lee’s Summit Fire Department.
