We couldn’t think of a more opportune time than Teacher Appreciation Week to surprise 87 teachers across the LSR7 School District with classroom grants. You can find a list of all of the recipients at lsedfoundation.org. These grants represent the innovation and passion our teachers bring to students in our community every single day.
While the spotlight is on teachers this week, I encourage you to keep cheering them on as we approach the end of the year. Here are a few ways you can continue supporting teachers through our organization this year and in the future:
Help us review grant applications. Our review committee is comprised of retired teachers, LSR7 alumni, parents, and community members.
Write an encouraging note or drop off a surprise gift for a teacher who made an impact on you, your child, or someone else you love. LSEF would be happy to help you get in touch with one of our staff members, just let us know.
Through our Give 7 Initiative, you can make a contribution toward future Classroom Grants and other initiatives that support our students and schools. You may choose to make this contribution in honor of an LSR7 teacher that has made a positive impact on your life or your child. LSEF will send them a certificate to notify them of the contribution made in their honor if you provide their contact information. Learn more at lsedfoundation.org.
