Did you have your engagement or wedding pictures published in the “Lee’s Summit Journal” and never had the photographs returned to you? The Lee’s Summit History Museum may have them.

The museum has boxes of old, mostly unidentified photographs. In addition to wedding photos there are sporting events, kid’s pictures with Santa, group meetings, organizations and many other old photographs.

On July 13th, 14th and 15th these photographs will be on tables in the museum. Come in and claim your family pictures or help them identify them. The museum is located at 220 SW Main Street on the west side of the Amtrak station in downtown Lee’s Summit. The photos will be available during normal hours, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

You are invited to come in and browse the photos at no charge. If you would like a tour of the museum the normal admission fee is $5. Members of the History Museum and children 12 and under are free.

You can follow other History Museum activities on the History Museum’s Facebook page or website at www.leessummitmuseum.com.
