The Jacomo Chorale is pleased to announce the selection of Daniel Hansen as their director to begin their 41st season.

Hansen holds a M.M. in Vocal Performance from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in Music and M.A. in Education from Truman State University. Originally from San Jose, CA, he has made the Midwest his new home since 2009. Daniel is in his sixth season as a member of the Kansas City Chorale, has performed as tenor soloist for the Kansas City Ballet, and has been chorus member of Te Deum, Kantorei KC, Ancora Chorale, the Festival Choral Society, and was a member of Schola Cantorum at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in KC. Daniel currently teaches adjunct at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA and continues performing throughout the KC metro area. Most recently he has joined the Missouri Choral Artists ensemble.

On August 17th at 7 p.m. the Jacomo Chorale will begin rehearsals for their 41st season. The Jacomo Chorale is Eastern Jackson County’s community chorale, performing music from Broadway favorites to traditional masterworks. The Chorale presents concerts 3-4 times a year in various venues throughout eastern Jackson County. Rehearsals are held at Mission Woods Community of Christ Church, 2800 Duncan Rd, Blue Springs from 7-9 PM, Thursdays. The first concert of the season will be presented on October 28th. The Chorale is currently recruiting for all voice parts. Singers of all levels are encouraged to attend the first rehearsals to meet with the director for voice placement (no auditions required) and get a sense of the ensemble.
